This OEM 45 Amp Generator has been professionally rebuilt. Painted to factory specs, ready to install on a show car. Our rebuilder is a retired former shop owner that specialized in rebuilding starters and alternators, who worked on these classics long before they were considered classics. He uses his old stock parts to rebuild, not the cheap, inexpensive parts that the mass rebuilders use today. I've been using this rebuilder before he retired for over 20 years and his rebuilt stuff is on my personal vehicle. Unless I'm the one installing this, I cannot offer a warranty. Other items on the car need to be inspected when installing this starter. Make sure the battery is good and passes pile load test, ensure good power and ground connectors st battery cables, and make sure the car does not have a sticking ignition switch (sticking ignition switch may cause starter to stay engaged after car is already started). All oil leaks that may get on or into starter should be addressed to prolong life of the starter. Ensure engine is in good running condition. Starter should not be held in cranking position for more than 15 second intervals. This was removed from a 1960 Cadillac, but may fit other vehicles listed in compatibility chart; please do your own research as we do not offer refunds if it does not fit your vehicle.
CORE RETURN DETAILS...MUST READ: Price includes $200 core fee, which is refundable upon return of your good rebuildable core. Core must be returned within 30 days from date of receipt, no exceptions, and must be a good rebuildable core (meaning not dented, not heavily pitted, not heavily water damaged, and not completely burned up inside). If you're uncertain, you can always send us a pictures of your core first. Core must be for the 1958-1961 Cadillac w/ A/C, same as the one you are receiving (again, if you are not sure what you have you can email us first). Core refund will not be given if any of the above requirements are not met.
